THIS WEEK IN TRACK

TUESDAY: Campbell-Savona 4:30pm
  • There will be one bus tomorrow, and possibly a van. Due to the fact that only eight boys will be traveling to the meet--we may be able to invite ALL female athletes. Everyone should bring their uniform to school tomorrow. The forecast tomorrow calls for a high of 71 degrees with late developing 'possible' t-storms. Ask Mindy English about her sore knee and the last rain delay at Campbell.
WEDNESDAY: Practice 3pm
  • Event work at the track. the forecast calls for an awfully nice day--75 degrees--with rain in the evening (6pm).
THURSDAY: Avoca 4:30pm
  • This meet is not a league meet. I called John Welc from Avoca and asked if we could bring a handful of athletes over for this meet with Campbell-Savona. The sole purpose of this meet is to try and qualify athletes for Sectionals. I will only be taking athletes who are close to making the sectional cut-off times and distances in their events. Here AGAIN is the link to our CLASS C standards. It is a big deal to qualify for the Section V Championship Meet.
http://webapps.monroe.edu/~mcq/svtrk/sv-2008/SV-standards.htm

FRIDAY: Hornell Invitational 5pm
  • I can enter 2 people per event at this invitational. It is usually QUITE competitive. There are cut off times/distances for several events (SHOT/DISC/3000m). The meet director will accept the top 24 'seeds' in these events.
Thank you athletes and parents for all you do!

4 MAY 2008
